MOSER Pro Columbus SL
This F. MOSER frame and fork was top of the line in the mid 80's. While many Moser's are mid range numbers with Oria tubing, this PRO model features a Columbus SL tubeset, fancier lugs and chrome seat and chain stays, in addition to the chromed fork. All of the dropouts are from Campagnolo.

It measures: seat tube (center to center) 50cm, the top tube is 52cm and the headtube is 10cm - classic Italian geometry.

Another indication that greater care went into this frame: the logos are painted, not decals like other Moser's. Also, the frame is a metallic fire engine red, while the logos are a flat, Marlboro red. This frame proudly wore a Campagnolo Super Record gruppo which I'm selling in a separate deal.

All of the lugs have Moser's World Hour Record logo (the arrow thing) on them.

Classic, Columbus seat tube that wants a 27.2 post.

The condition of this frame is pretty good. I'd rate it a solid 7 out of 10. There is no rust, no dents and the chrome is in very good shape. However, there are a few scrapes and scratches - signs of normal useage, like this one here.

Included in this sale is the Pantographed Moser ITM 100mm stem. It has a scrape in the black anondized finish on the top that's been touched up.

This is a fine, Italian bike made with great care from an undervalued brand. In the early 80's, one of the biggest, brightest stars in pro cycling was Francesco Moser, aka The Sheriff. With victories in Paris Roubaix, the Giro and a World Championship, his bikes sold like hotcakes here in northern Italy, he comes from Trento. Most were mid range, some were good and a few were very good - this is one of those.
